I am an experienced educator and tutor with an extensive background in the field of education. I taught at the middle and high-school levels for a decade, before making the transition to teach college students. While I learned a lot teaching in different classrooms, I really enjoy working in small groups and one-on-one with students. Over time, I've learned that students are able to learn more, when lessons can be delivered to meet their specific needs and learning styles. I found that it was sometimes hard for that to happen in a crowded class. That is why I decided to dedicate a portion of my time to tutoring.I specialize in working with students to master reading or writing skills. I have worked with remedial students and with advanced students who want to complete more challenging work. I can help students master reading skills or help them become better writers. I can also provide editing services.I have a master's degree in Education with Special Reading, which I received from Lindenwood University. I also received a master's in Curriculum and Instruction in English from the University of Phoenix. Teaching is a very important part of my life. My other interests include reading fantasy novels, walking, and spending time with animals.
